By car

Take the road that leads directly from Monistrol to the Monastery (8.7 km). You will need to park in the monastery car park, which costs €6.50.

On foot

The hike from Monistrol to Montserrat is one of the most classic and beautiful in the area.

Rack railway

The rack railway station is 850 metres from the house. You can walk there strolling through the streets of Monistrol, or drive and park at the station. If you walk, we recommend the path via Plaça de la Font Gran and Carrer Sant Joan, one of Monistrol's most charming streets.

What to do at Montserrat

Once at the top you can spend a full day visiting the abbey, listening to the Escolania boys' choir, exploring the museum, hiking the surrounding trails, taking the funiculars or visiting the Santa Cova chapel.
