APARTAMENTS AGULLES DE MONTSERRAT, S.L. is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the applicable legislation on the accessibility of products and services, in particular Spanish Law 11/2023 of 8 May and the EN 301549:2022 standard, which incorporates the success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.amontserrat.com, including its Catalan, Spanish and English versions.
Compliance status
This website is partially conformant with EN 301549:2022 and with WCAG 2.1 level AA, because of the exceptions and the non-conformities listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
1. Non-compliance with the applicable legislation
- Downloadable PDF documents. The hiking guides in PDF format available on the guides page have no structural tagging, no declared document language and no accessible title. As a result they cannot be interpreted correctly by screen readers (criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence, 3.1.1 Language of Page and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value).
2. Disproportionate burden
No exception on the grounds of disproportionate burden is currently claimed.
3. Content that falls outside the scope of the applicable legislation
- Booking engine. The availability and booking system is provided by an external supplier (Beds24) and is embedded through an inline frame. Its content, structure and behaviour are not under the control of this organisation and may not meet all success criteria.
- Route maps. The interactive maps of the hiking routes are provided by the external service Wikiloc and are embedded through an inline frame. This is interactive cartographic content that may not be fully operable by keyboard or interpretable with assistive technologies.
In both cases accessible alternatives are provided: a booking can be completed by telephone, WhatsApp or email using the contact details given on this page, and the text description of each route (itinerary, distance, ascent and difficulty) is present on the page itself, independently of the embedded map.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 17 August 2026.
The method used to prepare the statement was a self-assessment carried out by the organisation itself, which included:
- Automated review of the code of every page on the site (heading structure, landmarks, image alternative text, accessible names of links and buttons, form labels, inline frame titles and duplicate identifiers).
- Calculation of the contrast ratios of the entire colour palette against success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast Minimum).
- Manual testing of navigation and operation by keyboard only.
This assessment does not currently include testing with screen readers or testing with users with disabilities, and it has not been verified by an independent external body. An external audit is planned to complete it.
Statement last reviewed: 17 August 2026.

Optional information
This website has been designed taking into account, among others, the following measures:
- A link to skip straight to the main content from the first tab stop on every page.
- Semantic structure with landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) and a single top-level heading per page.
- A visible, high-contrast focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Full keyboard operation, including the image gallery and the enlarged image viewers.
- A play/pause control for the homepage carousel, which additionally does not animate automatically when the operating system has the reduced-motion preference enabled.
- Form error messages identified field by field, announced to assistive technologies and not conveyed by colour alone.
- Resizable text and a layout that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
